Lessons From 300 Episodes of The Champion Forum Podcast!

I can hardly believe it—300 episodes! The reach and impact of this podcast have exceeded my wildest dreams, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support from leaders across the globe.

It's wild to think that, before 2019, I hadn’t even listened to a podcast. I had always thought about starting my own business and sharing the lessons I learned from 20+ years in corporate leadership, but I wasn’t sure how to take that leap. Then, one day, my pastor suggested, “Why not start a podcast and see where it takes you?” So, I decided to give it a shot. As we started releasing episodes, the response was overwhelming. Listeners began reaching out, asking for coaching, workshops, and more resources.

Within a year, it was clear that to truly serve this growing community, I needed to go all in. That’s when Jeff Hancher Enterprises was born. And now, 300 episodes in, here we are! Along the way, I’ve learned some invaluable lessons. Here are three that I hope will inspire you on your journey, whatever that may be:

1. Just Start!

This entire journey started with one recording session. If I had waited for the “perfect time” or quit when things got tough (and trust me, there were many challenges), I would never have launched my company or reached this audience. Late nights, tech issues, and scheduling obstacles were all part of the path.

The lesson? Sometimes, you must take risks and push through the challenges to find your true calling. Waiting for everything to be “just right” might mean missing out on something extraordinary.

2. Assemble a Great Team

Podcasting is not a solo effort. Behind the scenes, an incredible team handles everything from recording to editing, creating descriptions, and writing show notes. Their talent and dedication are the reason we’ve reached leaders all around the world.

If you’re facing big goals, build a team of people who believe in your mission. Many of my team members began helping because they believed in the vision! So, who do you know who might help you chase your most audacious goals?

3. Don’t Get Complacent

I’m still amazed at how far we’ve come—from a small studio to a global platform. But as proud as I am of this milestone, I know there’s so much more to accomplish. My team and I are constantly working on new resources, books, and trainings to help leaders reach their fullest potential. Success is tremendous, but it’s not the end—it’s just the beginning.

Building a podcast and a business has been one of my life's most exciting, challenging, and rewarding journeys. And it all started because I decided to sit down and record episode one.

So, what’s holding you back? Is there something you’ve been putting off? Think about what you could accomplish if you just started—right now. Don’t let the “perfect time” be the thing that holds you back from reaching your full potential.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to the next 300!
